Well-known writer and analyst Tariq Ali made a harsh comment about Yanis Varoufakis, a pro Euro and European Union advocate, in an event at Athens titled “ Brexit, Europe and Greece”.
Tariq Ali commented that “The Greek left has sent us a not so welcome gift: Yanis Varoufakis”, referring to the support that the ex-finance minister of Greece has provided to Britain’s “stay” campaign.
Speaking in a crowded room, Tariq Ali analyzed the balance of relations between Britain and Europe after the Brexit as well as the dangers and opportunities that the European left might come across.
